Sight Seeing

There are many miles of sightseeing available in the Western Mountains and beyond. Thirty-two miles of Scenic Highway, route 17, from Rumford to Rangeley is only one possibility. Along the way is The Height of Land, which provides a spectactular view of Mooselookmeguntic Lake. The Rangely Overlook is along the same path, don't miss it. You may see eagles, deer, fox, coyotes, and most likely moose on your journeys. Autumn foliage is indescribable.

There are hundreds of miles of hiking trail in the area. The most famous is the Mahoosuc Trail on the Appalachian Trail which is only ten miles from us.

Remote Trout Pond Moose

Other points of interest are Grafton Notch, Mount Washington, Evan Notch, and Wildcat Mountain.
